Stick to the Track — Protect the Field & Stay Safe

As we head into fall, here’s an important reminder for all horse handlers and grooms: please walk horses on the designated track and avoid cutting through the back field. That field is used for turnout, and keeping it in good condition helps ensure our horses have a safe and healthy space to enjoy.

Also, with fall rains coming, the ground in the field can become slippery and uneven, which poses a hazard for both horses and volunteers. Staying on the track also helps maintain consistency for the horses — they thrive on routine and clear boundaries. When we all follow the same path, it reinforces good habits and keeps things running smoothly.

Thanks for helping us care for both the horses and the land — every small action makes a big difference!
