You know that feeling when you walk into a room and everything is just where it’s supposed to be? It’s peaceful, it’s efficient, and it sets the tone for a great day at VTRA. That’s exactly the vibe we want in our equipment room! This week’s tip is especially directed to our side walkers, since you're often in and out of the equipment room. If you have a few extra minutes before or after your shift and notice things are out of place, here’s how you can help:
Helmets should be placed in staggered rows with the back facing the entrance — it helps us quickly check the number and keeps the shelves looking neat. If you notice helmets upside down or in the wrong spot, please take a minute to rearrange them. It makes a big difference!
Boots should be lined up neatly on their designated shelves. If you spot any dusty or muddy boots, feel free to pop by the office — I’m happy to show you how to clean them and where we keep the cleaning kit.
Bonus Tip: Sweeping the Floor. If you notice the floor could use a quick sweep, the brooms are in the feed room behind the door. A quick tidy-up helps keep the space safe and welcoming for everyone.
Here are photos to show how the shelves should look when everything is in order. Let’s all pitch in to keep the space looking great — it’s a small effort that goes a long way in creating a smooth and enjoyable experience for our participants and fellow volunteers. Thank you!
