Expand Your Therapeutic Practice with Hippotherapy

VTRA is pleased to host Hippotherapy Treatment Principles Part I on September 11-13, 2026, presented by Pippa Hodge, BSc Rehab, MCPA, HPCS.

This foundational course is designed for licensed therapists and therapy assistants, including Physical Therapists (PTs), Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) who wish to incorporate hippotherapy into evidence-informed treatment planning and intervention.

Participants will gain an understanding of the principles of hippotherapy, the therapeutic use of equine movement, and strategies for integrating this treatment tool into clinical practice. The course combines theoretical knowledge with practical application to support improved functional outcomes for clients.

This is a unique opportunity to access specialized training on Vancouver Island and learn from an experienced faculty member recognized in the field of hippotherapy.
