About One Hoof at a Time

VTRA is launching our first annual One Hoof at a Time Pledge Event. This campaign is centered around mental health and wellness as we enter into February, a time of the year where we all can struggle to get outside and make time for exercise and spending time at the barn.. Depression and anxiety are the most frequent diagnosis that VTRA provides Equine-Assisted Services for.

Spending time with horses fosters a sense of deep connection and balance between both horses and humans. Working with a horse creates a space for a person to be present and mindful, whether doing groundwork, grooming, or riding. While you work with your horse, they can feel and read the energy that you produce, often responding to it. This is a time for you to slow down and focus solely on the relationship between you and your horse.

Help raise money for VTRA while supporting your own health and wellness!
